Da Beauty League is a summer hockey league that plays every Wednesday night from July 10th to August 28th. It includes a mix of Minnesota College hockey players and NHL players who have ties to Minnesota or are a client of Octagon Hockey.
Last night included two Wild players and seven former Wild players. Mike Reilly, Travis Boyd, Calen Addison, Kyle Rau, Erik Haula, Jason Zucker, Vinni Lettieri, Mason Shaw, and Troy Grosenick are the nine players with Wild connections who played last night.
Haula and Zucker connected on a goal last night which was also assisted by Minnesota Gophers defenseman and Chicago Blackhawks prospect Sam Rinzel.
Haula, 33, is set to enter his third season with the New Jersey Devils and previously signed a three-year extension with the Devils in 2023. He played his first four seasons in the NHL with the Minnesota Wild.
Zucker, 32, is set to enter his first season with the Buffalo Sabres after signing a one-year deal with the team on July 1st. He spent the first nine years of his career with the Minnesota Wild.
