Two former Wild players got moved at the NHL Trade Deadline. Here's a quick recap.

It was a busy Trade Deadline today. The Wild made four moves and saw three former Wild players also get dealt.

Yesterday, Brandon Duhaime was traded to the Colorado Avalanche for a 2026 third-round pick.

Today the Wild traded Pat Maroon to the Boston Bruins for a conditional six-round pick in 2026 and forward Luke Toporowski. They also traded Nic Petan to New York for Turner Elson and Connor Dewar to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

A couple of days ago I wrote about some potential former Wild players who could be traded at the deadline. The deadline just wrapped up at 2:00 p.m. CT and as of now, three former Wild players were dealt.

First Jason Zucker from the Arizona Coyotes was traded to the Nashville Predators for a 2024 sixth-round pick. Zucker was scratched his last two games for trade-related reasons so a trade felt likely. He will return to the central division to play for the Predators.

The Wild host the Predators on Sunday, March 10th, which could be Zucker's first game with the Predators.

Arizona followed up their Zucker trade with another move that included former Wild defenseman Matt Dumba to the Tampa Bay Lightning for a 2027 fifth-round pick. The Coyotes also traded a 2025 seventh-round pick in the deal.

Nick Seeler was a potential option to be moved at the deadline but the Philidelphia Flyers put an end to that when they signed him to a four-year contract extension.

San Jose decided to keep forwards Mikael Granlund and Luke Kunin but did trade goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen to New Jersey for Vitek Vanecek. Arizona kept Nick Bjugstad.

Also worth noting that former Minnesota Gopher and Minnesota Native, Casey Mittelstadt was traded from Buffalo to Colorado. Erik Johnson, who played for the Gophers as well, was traded to the Flyers by the Sabres as well. Ben Meyers was also traded from the Avalanche to the Anaheim Ducks.
