The Iowa Wild have signed another defenseman to a contract. The club announced on Tuesday that they have signed Will Zmolek to a one-year, two-way AHL contract.
Zmolek, 25, recorded two assists in six AHL games last season for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He also recorded four goals and 11 points in 50 ECHL games with the Reading Royals last year.
The native of Rochester, Minn., played four seasons at Bemidji State University from 2019 to 2023. He recorded nine goals, 37 assists, 46 points, 72 PIM, and a plus-5 rating through 126 games.
