The Minnesota Wild have a deep prospect pool that ranks as one of the best in the entire NHL. It is filled with top notch talent like Zeev Buium, Jesper Wallstedt, Danila Yurov, and Liam Ohgren.
But there is one prospect that gets overlooked at times just because of the guys in front of him. Hunter Haight will be playing his first professional season this upcoming year and should be a prospect Wild fans shouldn't sleep on.
Haight, 20, was a second-round pick by the Wild in 2022. He is coming off a career-year in the OHL where he recorded 25 goals, 42 assists, and 67 points in 68 games for the Saginaw Spirit.
He helped the Spirit win the Memorial Cup last year after posting nine goals and four assists in 17 playoff games and two goals and an assist in five games during the Memorial Cup. He assisted on the game-winning goal to win the Cup.
The 5-foot-11 center will finish his OHL career with 68 goals, 100 assists, and 168 points in 193 games across four seasons. He is set to enter his first season of professional hockey in 2024-25 with the young Iowa Wild.
Haight is someone to keep an eye on.
