Former Wild prospect Vladislav Firstov has officially cleared waivers and is no longer apart of the Wild's organization.
It was an interesting professional career for Vladislav Firstov to say the least. His contract was terminated by the Wild on May 14th. He officially cleared waivers on the 15th.
As of now Firstov can sign with anyone, although it looks as if he will return to the KHL. The Russia native was a second round pick by the Wild during the 2019 NHL Draft.
He was signed to an entry-level contract in 2022 but only played in nine AHL games across parts of two seasons. Firstov was then loaned to the KHL to play for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod.
Firstov, 22, returned to the Iowa Wild where he played ten games and recorded two goals and two assists. His contract was set to end after the 2024-25 season but was terminated instead. He has cleared waivers and can sign with anyone.
