    Predators Announce New Contracts for Jankowski, Grigals

    General Manager Barry Trotz announced on Friday that the Nashville Predators have signed forward Mark Jankowski and goaltender Gustavs Grigals to new contracts.

    Jankowski's is a two-year contract worth $775,000 in 2024-25 and $825,000 in 2025-26, while Grigals' is one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 at the NHL level for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.

    Jankowski has three points (2g-1a) in 14 games with the Predators while adding 47 points (15 goals, 32 assists) in 40 appearances for the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals this season. At the time of his recall from Milwaukee on Feb. 9, the forward led the Admirals and was third in the AHL in points. He was also named the league’s Player of the Month for January after recording seven goals and 11 assists in 11 contests, helping the Admirals go undefeated during the month. In 2022-23, his first season with Nashville, Jankowski posted 12 points (seven goals, five assists) in 50 games and led the Predators in shorthanded goals with three.

    Grigals owns a 7-15-0 record, 3.68 goals-against average, .898 save percentage and one shutout in 26 appearances for the ECHL’s Atlanta Gladiators in his first professional season. He made a season-high 50 saves for the Gladiators against Jacksonville on Feb. 28. The 25-year-old netminder also made his AHL debut for the Admirals on Dec. 31 at Rockford.

    Trotz announced a pair of signings, along with that of defenseman Dante Fabbro, during a press conference on Friday recapping the Predators' busy week leading up to the NHL trade deadline.
