The Predators make an interesting pickup off waivers.

The Nashville Predators just keep surprising as their latest move was claiming Jaret Anderson-Dolan off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings.
Anderson-Dolan is just 24 years old, but hasn't been able to stick in the deep Kings lineup over the past handful of years. The young forward has played in parts of six seasons for the Kings and has a total of 126 NHL games of experience.
He has more than proven himself at the AHL level, it is just a matter of adjusting properly to the NHL and taking that next step. The former second-round pick is on a one-year, $775,000 deal and has spent the majority of this season in the NHL, getting into 30 games.

Anderson-Dolan was just one of many players that hit waivers as teams around the league make room for potential adds. This is the second addition the Predators have made today, also bringing in Anthony Beauvillier earlier. It remains to be seen where each of them fit into the lineup, but we can expect a trade or someone from the Predators roster to hit waivers tomorrow.
Anderson-Dolan can play in all three forward positions and has just one goal and four points this season. That goal happened to come shorthanded where he has played a little this season. He is more of a defensive presence that blocks shots and hits than an offensive force in the NHL. With all of the skilled forward prospects the Predators have in the AHL, this is an interesting pickup, but one worth taking on a young player with potential.
