


The Seattle Kraken have announced that they have placed former New Jersey Devils forward John Hayden on waivers.
Hayden, 30, is currently in his third season with the Kraken. In 19 games this campaign with the Pacific Division club, he has one goal, one assist, 31 penalty minutes, and 44 hits.
Hayden has spent the majority of this season with the Kraken's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Coachella Valley Firebirds. In 43 games with the AHL squad on the year, he has 11 goals, 16 assists, and 27 points.
Hayden spent the 2019-20 season as a member of the Devils. During his stint in New Jersey, the 6-foot-3 forward posted three goals, one assist, 77 penalty minutes, and 87 hits in 43 contests. His time with the Devils ended when he signed with the Arizona Coyotes the following off-season.
