The Edmonton Oilers picked up a massive 3-0 win over the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 4 of the second round. With this, they now have a commanding 3-1 series lead over the Golden Knights and are one win away from advancing to the Western Conference Final. Former New Jersey Devils forward Adam Henrique is a major reason for this.
Henrique scored two goals for the Oilers in Game 4, including the eventual game-winner. Each of the former Devils' goals was scored in the first period, too.
Henrique's first goal came at the 1:27 mark of the first period. It was a nice one, too, as the veteran forward beat Golden Knights goalie Adin Hill top shelf with a great snap shot.
Henrique's second goal was even more of a beauty, as the former Devils forward scored in front with an excellent between-the-legs shot.
With this big performance, Henrique now has three goals, four points, and a plus-1 rating in 10 post-season games this year for the Oilers. Overall, the 35-year-old has been very solid for the Oilers and is giving them some much-needed secondary scoring.
Henrique was selected by the Devils with the 82nd overall pick of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. In 455 games over eight seasons with New Jersey, he posted 122 goals, 257 points, and 411 hits. He also memorably scored the Eastern Conference Final overtime winning goal against the New York Rangers that sent the Devils to the Stanley Cup Final in 2012.
