The New Jersey Devils have made a major move, as they have signed forward Arseni Gritsyuk to a one-year contract for the 2025-26 season.

Gritsyuk, 24, is one of the Devils' top prospects and has spent each of the last multiple seasons in the KHL. However, after signing this entry-level deal with the Devils, he is now set to begin his North American professional hockey career next season.

Gritsyuk is coming off a very strong 2024-25 season with SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL. In 49 games with the KHL squad this campaign, he had 17 goals, 44 points, and a plus-22 rating. He also appeared in six playoff games this year, posting one goal and five points.

Gritsyuk was selected by the Devils with the 129th overall pick of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. The winger has shown good promise in the KHL, and it will now be fascinating to see how much of an impact he makes with the Devils after signing this deal from here.
