These three Flyers are expected to generate trade interest later this season.

As Denver Barkey heads back to the London Knights after spending the last couple of months watching the Philadelphia Flyers' training camp from the sidelines, he reflects on his recovery from illness and coming back a stronger player than before.

The Philadelphia Flyers currently sport a 5-8-1 record and are at the bottom of the Metropolitan Division standings. This is not too surprising, as they are still very much rebuilding.

Due to this, the prospect of them being sellers this season is undoubtedly there. According to The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta, three specific Flyers who are expected to garner interest closer to the trade deadline are Nicolas Deslauriers, Scott Laughton, and Rasmus Ristolainen.

If made available, Deslauriers could be a nice addition for a contender looking to add more toughness and grit to their bottom six. The 33-year-old winger has one assist, 15 hits, and five penalty minutes this season. He is also under contract until the end of the 2025-26 season, carrying a $1.75 million cap hit.

Laughton, 30, was an incredibly popular name in the rumor mill last season, and it would not be shocking at all if this is the case again this campaign. This is because he is a solid two-way forward who contributes offensively, is solid defensively, and throws the body. He has a $3 million cap hit until the end of the 2025-26 season.

As for Ristolainen, he was another Flyer who generated interest last season before suffering a season-ending injury in February. Teams will forever value big right-shot defenseman, so he could be a nice trade chip for the Flyers if they make him available. He has a $5.1 million cap hit until the completion of the 2026-27 season.
