Rasmus Ristolainen
Rasmus Ristolainen generated a lot of buzz in the rumor mill last season until he suffered a season-ending injury in February. However, now that he is healthy, trade speculation is once again surrounding the right-shot defenseman.
Ristolainen could be a very popular target for playoff teams looking to add more size and physicality to the right side of their blueline. This is especially so if the Flyers make it clear that they are open to retaining a portion of his $5.1 million cap hit.
Joel Farabee
Joel Farabee was in the rumor mill for the entirety of this past off-season, but a move did not come to fruition. This could have the potential to change during the season, as he would be a nice addition for clubs looking to improve their middle six.
If made available, Farabee could also attract interest from both playoff and non-playoff teams. This is because he is under contract until the completion of the 2027-28 season, carrying a $5 million cap hit. Thus, teams looking for more scoring could target him.
Morgan Frost
Morgan Frost could be another player to watch as we get closer to the trade deadline. He was in the rumor mill for much of last season and will be a restricted free agent at the end of the season.
Frost has had a shaky start to the season, posting one goal, six points, and a minus-12 rating in 13 games. However, even with the slow start, he should still get interest if officially made available by the Flyers. He is coming off back-to-back seasons with at least 41 points.
