Danny Wild-USA TODAY Sports - BREAKING: Flyers Extend Garnet Hathaway For Two Years

The Philadelphia Flyers have re-signed Garnet Hathaway for two years with an AAV of $2.4 million.

Hathaway had seven goals and ten assists in 82 games last season. Hathaway is a physical forward who helps bring the rest of his team into the fight of a game.

"Garnet has been a great addition to our team and we're very happy to extend him to be a Flyer for the next several seasons," Flyers GM Danny Briere said in a statement. "His style of play and level of professionalism had a big effect on our group last season, and he embodies the standard our team set out to build both on and off the ice."

Hathaway is responsible and fits the Flyers' needs for a hard-working bottom-six forward group.
