Ed Mulholland-USA TODAY Sports - BREAKING: Flyers Top Prospect Denver Barkey Officially Signs Entry-Level Contract

Philadelphia Flyers top prospect Denver Barkey has officially signed his entry-level contract after THN reported the deal yesterday.

Barkey's agent confirmed to THN yesterday that this signing would happen. Barkey leads the London Knights in points with 87 (31 goals, 56 assists) in 56 games.

Oliver Bonk, Barkey's teammate on the London Knights, signed his ELC on August 21, 2023. Bonk has 61 points (23 goals, 38 assists) in 57 games.

London is headed to the OHL playoffs for a record 23rd straight season. Bonk and Barkey likely won't make their NHL debuts this season but have a good shot at doing so in the 2024-25 season.

The Athletic ranked the Flyers' prospect pool No. 6 in the entire NHL. Matvei Michkov was ranked No. 1, with Bonk just behind him at No. 2, and Barkey is down at No. 8. The Flyers pool was ranked No. 14 in 2023.

Barkey joins a stacked prospect pool and will be at the team's core for years to come.
