The Philadelphia Flyers and Ottawa Senators reportedly have the framework for a trade in place.
In a day full of other NHL moves, including the Los Angeles Kings trading Pierre-Luc Dubois to the Washinton Capitals for Darcy Kuemper and Barclay Goodrow heading back to the San Jose Sharks via waivers, the Flyers get in on some action.
The Metropolitan Division has been busy with those moves, but the day started with the Calgary Flames trading star goalie Jacob Markstrom to the New Jersey Devils.
Speculation on Twitter suggests that the move between the Senators and Flyers is for the Flyers to move up in the upcoming 2024 NHL Draft. The Flyers currently have the 12th overall pick. Ottawa currently owns the 7th and 25th overall picks in the draft.
