Both have been solid players this season, and there have been questions about whether the Flyers will even trade the defensemen because of their playoff positioning.
Seeler is 30, and Walker is 29, so picking which player to give an extension can not be deciphered by their age. Walker's skating ability and play this season are likely better options to keep, but by that same logic, Walker would probably have more trade value than Seeler.
Seeler is a solid depth defenseman, which most teams want to bring into their playoff push. Seeler might be a cheaper extension for the Flyers.
The deadline is Friday at 3 p.m., and there is expected to be a lot of movement around the NHL within the next two+ days.
