According to Anthony Di Marco, Philadelphia Flyers top prospect Matvei Michkov is leaving CSKA in Russia to join the NHL this season.
Michkov reportedly has joined the CAA agency and will sign his entry-level contract.
The Flyers haven't officially announced anything, but they could be getting a major boost to their lineup much sooner than expected. GM Danny Briere told reporters that there is still a lot of uncertainty surrounding when the forward will join the team.
Both Briere and Keith Jones have said they have been operating under the assumption that Michkov would finish the remaining two seasons of his KHL contract.
More updates will be provided as information becomes available.
