Jason Zucker Signs Deal with Coyotes

The Pittsburgh Penguins are losing one of their most productive players of the 2022-23 season.

Should the Pittsburgh Penguins be "all in" on a championship run in the 2023-24 season?

After just a couple of hours on the open market, the Pittsburgh Penguins are losing one of their most productive players from this past season.

Multiple sources have confirmed that Penguins forward Jason Zucker is signing a one-year deal with the Arizona Coyotes.

Zucker’s one-year contract is set to earn him around $5.3 million against the cap.

At the age of 31, it was believed the Zucker could fetch a deal that earned him at least a couple of seasons in term, but a history of injuries may have gotten in the way.

Zucker was healthy through 2022-23, but that doesn’t guarantee a future of health.

When the Penguins traded for Reilly Smith, it seemed to close the door on Zucker in Pittsburgh, but both Kyle Dubas and Mike Sullivan stated that there was still a possibility.

The Penguins ultimately missed out on Zucker as he heads to Arizona.

In his final season with the Penguins, Zucker played in 78 games and recorded 27 goals for 48 points.
