The San Jose Sharks will play their last game before the trade deadline against the New York Islanders.

The San Jose Sharks (15-39-7) will play their last game before the trade deadline against the New York Islanders (27-20-14).

These two teams haven't faced each other since the Sharks visited them in early December in one of the season's most memorable games.

San Jose came back from three goals down in the third period and won in overtime, thanks to a goal by William Eklund.

Tomas Hertl scored a hat trick in that game as well.

Tonight marks the last game before the trade deadline. The Sharks have many players with rumors regarding a possible trade. Tonight could be the last night most of this team's core players play together.

The Islanders come in desperate for a playoff spot. They are expected to be buyers for tomorrow's deadline, even though they sit four points out of a playoff spot.

Thomas Bordeleau was recalled yesterday, and it looks like he will be getting another shot in the NHL after a brief six-game stint at the beginning of the season. He scored one goal and had one assist.

Mackenzie Blackwood is still recovering from a minor groin injury and will not be in the lineup. Head coach David Quinn said that Magnus Chrona will start in goal. The rest of the lineup hasn't been decided, but Bordeleau will play and have some powerplay time as well.

Sharks projected line combinations:

Duclair-Granlund-Zetterlund
Zadina-Eklund-Kunin
Barabanov-Sturm-Bordeleau
Bailey-Carpenter-Hoffman

Ferraro-Burroughs
Thrun-Rutta
Vlasic-Addison

Chrona
Kahkonen

Although the scratches haven't been announced, Quinn said the players who won't play tonight would be for health reasons, not trade-related reasons.

Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m. and can be seen on NBC Sports California or the Sharks Audio Network.
