Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports - Pregame Preview #66: Sharks Head To Columbus To Take On Blue Jackets

The San Jose Sharks (16-42-7) continue its five-game road trip to visit the Columbus Blue Jackets (22-33-11).

San Jose is coming off a 6-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins, which they had a solid chance to win going into the third period.

San Jose was forced to play 13 forwards and five defensemen due to an injury to Jan Rutta and an illness being dealt with by Jacob MacDonald.

According to Sheng Peng of SJHN, one of the two should be able to play against the Blue Jackets, avoiding another shorthanded situation.

Magnus Chrona will make his fifth consecutive start, and Devin Cooley will make his NHL debut tomorrow against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Klim Kostin has three points in three games since joining San Jose from the Detroit Red Wings. He started on the fourth line but, due to injury, has worked his way up to the third line and has been very effective.

Fabian Zetterlund scored his 17th goal of the season against the Penguins, which leads the team.

    Sharks projected line combinations:

    Barabanov-Granlund-Zetterlund
    Zadina-Eklund-Kunin
    Bordeleau-Sturm-Kostin
    Smith-Carpenter-Bailey

    Ferraro-Burroughs
    Thrun-Vlasic
    MacDonald-Addison

    Chrona
    Cooley

Puck drop is at 4 p.m. and can be seen on NBC Sports California or the Sharks Audio Network.
