The Sharks and Kraken recently played in San Jose, where they saw the Kraken come out on top.
The Kraken fought for their playoff lives then but have since been eliminated from contention.
Joey Daccord will start in goal for the Kraken against his good friend Devin Cooley. Cooley and Daccord played in the USHL together and trained in Boston over the summer.
According to Sharks head coach David Quinn, Ryan Carpenter will come in for Mike Hoffman. Filip Zadina missed the Sharks last game with a lower-body injury and did not travel.
