The San Jose Sharks have officially clinched the best odds at the 2024 NHL Draft Lottery with a 6-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night.
During fan appreciation night, San Jose got goals from Mario Ferraro and Jan Rutta. Mikael Granlund had two assists, extending his personal points streak to 11 games. William Eklund also earned an assist, giving him 14 points in his last 12 games. Mackenzie Blackwood made 32 saves.
The Wild got two goals from superstar Kirill Kaprizov, and Liam Ohgren scored his first NHL goal. Marcus Johansson, Matt Boldy, and Declan Chisholm scored the other goals for the Wild. Jesper Wallstedt made 27 saves for his second career win.
