Chris Jones-USA TODAY Sports - BREAKING: Sharks Acquire Ty Dellandrea From Stars

The San Jose Sharks have acquired Ty Dellandrea from the Dallas Stars in exchange for a 2025 4th-round pick.

The draft picked moved was originally the Winnipeg Jets property that San Jose acquired during the 2023 trade deadline that sent Vladislav Namestnikov.

Dellanderea was a former first-round pick, selected 13th overall in 2018. Although he was a high draft pick, his offensive numbers haven't been what Dallas hoped for. He is a solid NHLer but not up to the standards of a top-15 pick.

In 42 games in 23-24, Dellandrea had two goals and seven assists. He was fifth on the team in shorthanded ice time.

Dellandrea is not signed for the 24-25 season and is a restricted free agent with arbitration rights.
