    The San Jose Sharks have signed Alexander Wennberg to a two-year, $10 million contract.

    Wennberg is a skilled, defensive centerman who can provide his experience to the young Sharks center prospects. In 79 games with the Seattle Kraken and New York Rangers last season, Wennberg scored ten goals and 20 assists.

    Wennberg scored an overtime goal in the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the Rangers in the Conference Final against the Florida Panthers. 

    San Jose has made two signings on the first day of free agency, Tyler Toffoli and now Wennberg.
