New York Rangers forward Barclay Goodrow was the overtime hero again in the playoffs as the former San Jose Sharks forward scored his second career playoff overtime goal yesterday.
Goodrow played the role of hero for the Rangers as the forward scored his fourth goal of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs. He helped the Rangers tie the Eastern Conference Final at one game.
Goodrow has played 93 postseason games for the Sharks, Rangers, and Tampa Bay Lightning. The forward has two Stanley Cups to his name and is looking to add a third with the Rangers.
Sharks fans can reminisce about his incredible 2019 game-winning goal during San Jose's most remarkable playoff comeback.

Unlike in 2019, Goodrow was on his fifth overtime shift compared to the two he got for the Sharks. Goodrow is in a similar fourth-line role with the Rangers as he was with the Sharks. He was put on the ice for his faceoff ability in the defensive zone, and his win in that area directly led to his rush up the ice for a goal.
The league looked at the goal momentarily for a possible high touch causing a missed stoppage, but it was deemed a good goal.
The Rangers and Florida Panthers will play game three in Sunrise, FL, at noon Pacific time tomorrow afternoon.
