San Jose Sharks prospect Shakir Mukhamadullin and the AHL's Pacific Division won the AHL All-Star Classic.
Mukhamadullin finished the small tournament with a goal and an assist. His goal came with six seconds left in the game against the North division to tie it.
"We just pulled the goalie and played four-on-three," Mukhamadullin said postgame. "My teammate gave me a great pass. I'm just shooting and closing my eyes."
As the only member from the San Jose Barracuda, Shak was the clear crowd favorite. Against the central division, Mukahamadullin made a silky spinning pass to Calgary Flames prospect Matt Coronato.
"I'm lucky. I said yesterday I'm lucky," Mukhamadullin joked.
The Pacific Division needed to win their final game to get into the finals and did so in a shootout. In the championship match against the Atlantic Division, Vancouver Canucks prospect Arshdeep Bains stole the puck and buried the game-winning goal.
Bains finished as the All-Star Classic MVP with two goals and three assists.
The crowd was loud at Tech CU Arena, and Mukhamadullin loved it.
"Fans are here for us," Mukhamadullin said. "They come to every game. It's nice. Thank you, fans."
As for his future, Mukhamadullin said he hasn't been told what is next. He played three games in the NHL before being sent back down to the AHL during the San Jose Sharks league-mandated bye week.
