Dean Tait - Hockey Shots - REPORT: Sharks Scratching Wingers For Trade-Related Reasons

According to reports, the San Jose Sharks will scratch Anthony Duclair and Alexander Barabanov for trade-related reasons.

Both players garner significant interest, especially Duclair, who is coming off his best game as a Sharks player.

"I honestly have no idea what's gonna happen," Duclair said this morning. "It's that time of the year. [I'm] just trying to enjoy the day and go from there."

"I think it's part of the business," Barabanov said about wanting a change of scenery. "I just work every day, and we'll see what happens."

Nothing seems imminent on the trade front, but San Jose seems to be protecting its assets before tomorrow's noon deadline.
