Smith got the game started quickly with a goal on his first shift.
Smith got lucky on his second goal but still showed his creativity and offensive skills to get the goal.
Through 40 games, Smith has 25 goals and 46 assists for 71 points, tying him with Kyle Connor of the Winnipeg Jets and Jack Eichel of the Vegas Golden Knights as the most points by a freshman since 1994.
Smith and BC will face Denver University tomorrow for the National Championship.
Sharks goalies Magnus Chrona and Devin Cooley were teammates at Denver in 2019-20.
Smith has one game left to make history and possibly finish his college hockey career as a champion if he decides to sign with the Sharks after his season ends.
