The San Jose Sharks are looking to get back into the playoff picture as soon as next season as they continue through their long rebuild, and after missing the postseason yet again, they will have to shift their focus to the offseason where they will look to improve their roster and add even more young guns to their strong prospect pool. With that in mind, here are the latest rumors from around the Sharks.

Andrew Poturalski has had an interesting week, both extremely positive and filled with speculation. A report came out recently that claimed he might be signing in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) with Avangard Omsk next season, just days after being named American Hockey League (AHL) MVP. Time will tell what happens there, but definitely some speculation following him as he tries to help lead the Barracuda to a deep playoff run.

There hasn't been any update on pending restricted free agent (RFA) forward Klim Kostin just yet, and it doesn't seem like anything will come to fruition with any of their pending free agents until closer to the draft or free agency.

Mike Grier commented recently on the potential of the Sharks trading the first-overall selection should they win the draft lottery, and he claims they would be more open to it than in previous seasons, but that doesn't mean they'd move it for sure.
