The Tampa Bay Lightning have made a notable move, placing forward Conor Sheary on waivers.
Sheary, 32, has appeared in three games this season with the Lightning, where he has zero points and a minus-2 rating.
The Lightning signed Sheary to a three-year, $6 million contract during the 2023 NHL off-season. His first season with the Lightning was tough, as he had just four goals and 15 points in 57 games. This was after he had 15 goals and 37 points in 82 games with the Washington Capitals in 2022-23.
We will now need to wait and see what happens with Sheary from here. If he clears waivers, he will head to the American Hockey League (AHL) to play with the Syracuse Crunch.
