According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Tampa Bay Lightning have placed forwards Cam Atkinson and Logan Brown on waivers.

Atkinson, 35, signed a $900,000 contract with the Lightning this past off-season after being bought out by the Philadelphia Flyers.

This Atkinson waiver placement comes after the veteran winger was scratched in each of the Lightning's last four games. In 36 games this season with the Lightning, he has three goals, five assists, and a minus-3 rating.

Brown, on the other hand, has spent all of this season with the Syracuse Crunch on an AHL deal. In 25 games this season with the AHL squad, he has seven goals and 19 points. According to PuckPedia, Brown has earned an NHL contract with the Bolts.
