The Canucks can clinch a playoff spot with a win over the Dallas Stars.

For the second consecutive game, the Vancouver Canucks (45-19-8) have a chance to clinch a playoff spot as they welcome the Dallas Stars (45-19-9) to Rogers Arena. If Vancouver wins, the Canucks will be playoff bound for the first time since 2020. Additionally, if Vancouver loses but picks up a point, they would need the St. Louis Blues to lose their games to the Calgary Flames in order to clinch a playoff spot. Lastly, the Canucks can also clinch a playoff spot if the Wild lose to the San Jose Sharks in any fashion and the Blues lose in regulation.

The game itself will not be easy, as the Stars are one of the NHL's hottest teams of late. Winners of eight of their last ten, Dallas is fighting with the Colorado Avalanche and Winnipeg Jets for the top spot in the Central Division. Overall, it should be an exciting game as these two Western Conference leaders battle for the third time this season.

Players to Watch

J.T. Miller

J.T. Miller has been Mr. Everything for Vancouver this season. Not only does he lead the team with 91 points, but he also has surpassed the 200-hit mark for the second consecutive season. Expect a big game from Miller as he looks to help the Canucks secure a postseason berth.

Wyatt Johnston

Despite only being 20, Wyatt Johnston has developed into a star. He leads the Stars with 28 goals and is one of seven players on the team with 50+ points. Coming off a three-point performance against the Sharks, Vancouver must be careful whenever the puck is on his stick.
