Tocchet provided more information on injury timelines for Joshua, Demko and Lindholm.

After practice on Wednesday at UBC, Rick Tocchet provided some updates on injured Vancouver Canucks. Starting with Dakota Joshua, Tocchet said, "I'm gonna sleep on it with him, but we talked about today a bit, so I will wait 24 hours to decide if he plays tomorrow or not." Joshua was skating on a line with J.T. Miller and Brock Boeser and has missed the last 18 games with an upper-body injury.
Tocchet also clarified some information surrounding goaltender Thatcher Demko after general manager Patrik Allvin announced this morning that he had been retroactively placed on LTIR. Demko suffered a lower-body injury against the Winnipeg Jets and has missed the last six games. Since he was placed on LTIR, he is unable to rejoin the roster until April 6, which would give him six games to prepare for the postseason.
As Tocchet explained, this was a cap move to open up some space on the roster. In a corresponding move, the Canucks also announced they had called up Arshdeep Bains from Abbotsford. Tocchet also mentioned that there is a date for Demko to return to the ice but said that it is not a hard date as of right now.
Lastly, Tocchet answered questions surrounding Elias Lindholm and his current injury. Lindholm has missed the last few practices and did not play Monday versus the Kings. While Tocchet wouldn't go into detail, he did say, " I'm not really concerned. I think it's just something a little nagging, that's getting better every day. That's the way you got to look at it." Tocchet also mentioned that he doesn't believe the injury is long-term but would not give a date for Lindholm's return to the lineup.
