The Vancouver Canucks season came to a close in Game 7 as they fell 3-2 in Game 7 to the Edmonton Oilers. While it was a tough night on the scoresheet, there were a few players who stood out thanks to their strong play throughout the game. Here is a look at J.T. Miller, Elias Pettersson and Artūrs Šilovs, who finished as the Canucks three stars from Game 7.

    1st Star: J.T. Miller

Miller led the way in Game 7 with another standout performance. In 27:23 of ice time, recorded a shot, had three hits and went 16 for 23 in the faceoff dot. As for the analytics, Vancouver held a 6-0 high-danger chances advantage at even strength while outscoring the Oilers 1-0. Miller was a difference-maker all night and once again led by example.

    2nd Star: Elias Pettersson

Pettersson was throwing the body and making plays all night. Playing 24:05 of ice time, Pettersson finished with two shots and five hits on the evening. Vancouver also held a 13-5 even-strength scoring chances advantage while he was on the ice. Even though he didn't end up on the scoresheet, he had a memorable game and did everything he possibly could to try and win this game.

    3rd Star: Artūrs Šilovs

As for Šilovs, he was the reason this game was close. He made some incredible saves and was able to stop six of the seven high-danger shots he faced. Ultimately, Šilovs put on a playoff performance and was arguably the Canucks MVP throughout the postseason.
