The Vancouver Canucks will reportedly be without Brock Boeser in Game 7 against the Edmonton Oilers. According to Irfaan Gaffar and Elliotte Friedman, Boeser will miss Game 7 due to a blood clotting issue. While the timeline is unclear, Friedman included in his report that "several sources stressed this, thankfully, is not considered a life-threatening situation."
Losing Boeser at this point of the playoffs is massive for the Canucks. He leads the team with seven goals and is tied for the team lead with 12 points. Playing beside J.T. Miller and Pius Suter, the trio has been Vancouver's most consistent line all postseason and has played a massive role in shutting down Connor McDavid throughout the series.
At this point, the focus shifts to getting Boeser healthy as soon as possible. Blood Clotting is a serious medical issue, and as seen with Frederik Andersen of the Carolina Hurricanes, it can keep a player sidelined for months. As mentioned, there is no exact timeline available for Boeser's return, but it would not be surprising if he missed the rest of the Stanley Cup Playoffs due to this medical issue.
