Both Jonathan Lekkerimäki and defenceman Elias Pettersson also made their debuts with Abbotsford in March.

The Abbotsford Canucks had a decent month of March, posting a record of 7-6. With 74 points in 64 games, they are on the verge of clinching a playoff spot as their magic number has dropped to one. Here is a look at some players who stepped up their game for Abbotsford over the past month.
Linus Karlsson
Leading the way for the Canucks in March was Linus Karlsson. In 13 games, he had 15 points, which included seven primary assists. During the month, Karlsson also set a new career high in points with 52 and recorded his first career four-point game at the AHL level. A point-per-game player this season, he now leads Abbotsford in both points and power play goals.
Jett Woo
Jett Woo had his most successful month of the season, posting ten points in 13 games. Not only was it the first time Woo has hit double digits for points in a month at the AHL level, but he also set a new career high with seven primary assists in March. The 23-year-old continues to impress and is showing why he should be considered for an NHL job in 2024-25.
Max Sasson
Despite missing the first six games of the month with an injury, Max Sasson was dominant, recording ten points in seven games. Currently on an eight-game point streak, he tied his previous career high for goals in a month with five while, like Woo, hit double-digit points in a month for the first time in his AHL career. An undrafted free agent last year, he is set to play a crucial role for the Canucks come playoff time.
Jonathan Lekkerimäki and Elias Pettersson
Looking towards the future, both Jonathan Lekkerimäki and defenceman Elias Pettersson made their AHL debuts in March. Lekkerimäki recorded one shot in two games, while Elias Pettersson wasn't afraid to play physically in his one AHL game. While Lekkerimäki is only in Vancouver for a few weeks, it will be interesting to watch how Abbotsford utilizes Pettersson for the remainder of the regular season and playoffs.
