The Vancouver Canucks have signed Ty Mueller to a three-year, entry-level contract. The 21-year-old forward was drafted in the fourth round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft by Vancouver and has been playing at the University of Nebraska-Omaha for the last three years. His season recently came to a close as the Mavericks were knocked out of the NCAA's Men's DI Ice Hockey Championship by the University of Minnesota.

Listed at 5'11", 195-pound, Mueller finished his NCAA career with 64 points in 98 games. In 40 games this season, he had 11 goals and 26 points while also recording 108 shots on goal. Mueller also had a good year in the faceoff circle, winning 365 draws and finishing the season with a 55% faceoff win percentage. After a strong campaign, Muller was named a Hobey Baker Award Nominee for the second consecutive season. Mueller was the only player from the University of Nebraska-Omaha to receive a nomination this year.

Mueller is the second player Vancouver has signed from their 2023 draft class. He follows Sawyer Mynio, who was signed back in September. Mueller is also the second player from the NCAA the Canucks have signed this year after undrafted free agent Christian Felton was signed earlier this month.
