The Abbotsford Canucks have announced that they have re-signed captain Chase Wouters to a two-year extension.
Wouters, 24, has been with the AHL club since 2021-22 and has been the captain for the last two seasons. In 66 games last season, he scored nine goals and 14 assists.
"Chase has been an integral part of growing and maintaining the culture we want here in Abbotsford," Abbotsford GM Ryan Johnson said in a release. "His contributions on and off the ice are a testament to both his abilities and his character. We are thrilled that Chase has committed to leading this team and continuing to develop within our organization."
Wouters was never drafted and hasn't made his NHL debut since he signed with the Canucks in 2021. He was nominated for the AHL's Man of The Year award.
