ESPN has released the trailer for their upcoming documentary about the 2011 Stanley Cup Final riots. The documentary, which is directed by Kathleen Jayme & Asia Youngman, is one of five 30 for 30 productions being released this summer. "I'm Just Here for the Riot" is scheduled to premiere on June 4 and will be broadcast on ESPN.

"I'm Just Here for the Riot" looks back at the 2011 riots and the impact it had on not just the city but also those who participated in it. The documentary features footage from June 15, 2011, while also includes interviews with those who were part of the riots and later faced consequences. Included is also a deep dive into the role social media played after the event as rioters were exposed and later brought to justice after being identified online.

According to a report released by the BC Government in January 2016, "there were 112 businesses damaged, 122 vehicles were damaged or destroyed, and 52 assaults were reported against civilians, police, and emergency personnel." In order to identify those who participated, a website was created which featured photos and videos of the event. The website was considered a massive success as the public provided over a thousand names.
