Former Vancouver Canucks defenceman Kevin Bieksa has won Best Sports Analyst at the 2024 Canadian Screen Awards. Bieksa, who is currently an analyst with Hockey Night in Canada, beat out Cheryl Pounder, Craig Button, Byron MacDonald, and Jennifer Botterill for the prestigious award. This is Bieksa's third nomination, but first time winning the award.

With the win, Bieksa joins a prestigious group that includes Jack Armstrong, Glen Suitor, Ray Ferraro and Cassie Campbell-Pascall. After retiring in 2018, Bieksa joined Hockey Night in Canada in 2020 and has been a vital member of the panel since. His witty banter and in-depth knowledge have made him a fan favourite, just like he was when he was a player for both the Canucks and Anaheim Ducks.

As mentioned, Bieksa played the majority of his career in Vancouver. He played a key role on the Canucks run to the 2011 Stanley Cup Final, with his biggest moment coming in Game 5 of the Western Conference Final, where he scored the series-winning goal in overtime. In 2022, Bieksa signed a one-day contract with Vancouver, officially retiring as a member of the Canucks.
