The Stanley Cup has officially been engraved with the 2024 Champions, the Florida Panthers. Among the names are five former Vancouver Canucks which includes three players and two who are now in management. Led by Roberto Luongo, these names will now appear on the Cup for the next half-century.

The only proper place to start is with Luongo. The Canucks all-time leader in wins and Ring of Honour member has spent the last few years as a special assistant to the GM in Florida. A member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, a Stanley Cup was all that was missing from what has turned out to be one of the best careers by a goaltender in NHL history.

Sticking with players now in management, former defenceman Bryan McCabe will also see his name etched on the Cup. McCabe spent two seasons with Vancouver, recording 33 points in 95 games. Now the Panthers Director of Player Personnel, McCabe is one of the longest-serving members of Florida's organization, having been with the management team since 2012.

Onto the players, Gustav Forsling was fantastic for the Panthers all playoffs. Averaging 23:25 of ice time, he received eight third-place votes for this year's Conn Smythe. Drafted in the fifth round by the Canucks in 2014, Forsling has developed into one of the best defensemen in the NHL.

Next is Oliver Ekman-Larsson, who, after 14 years, is finally a Champion. Bought out by Vancouver in the 2023 offseason, Ekman-Larsson provided valuable depth minutes for Florida throughout the season. Ultimately, he proved he could still be an effective defender, which led to him signing a four-year deal in Toronto on July 1.

Lastly is forward Jonah Gadjovich. Despite not meeting the requirements, the Panthers ensured Gadjovich's name would be on the Stanley Cup as he was a key figure during the regular season. A second-round pick in 2017 by the Canucks, Gadjovich has developed into a solid fourth-line player that suited up for 39 regular season games this season.
