'Zeev Boop-Em' will represent the Canucks at the 2026 Stanley Pup competition.
The Vancouver Canucks are not taking part in the 2026 Stanley Cup Final, but they will be represented at the NHL’s Stanley Pup competition.
Each of the NHL’s 32 teams will be represented by one adorable and adoptable furry friend at the NHL’s Stanley Pup competition on June 8. The competition will pit the teams against one-another as they vy for the Stanley Pup to show support for animal adoption.
This year, Vancouver’s representative is none-other than Zeev Boop-Em (evidently named after Zeev Buium), a defender who is “running for the office of boopmaster general.” Other representatives around the league include Quinn Chews of the Minnesota Wild, Macklin Celewienie of the San Jose Sharks, and Evan Boucharf of the Edmonton Oilers.
Guest appearances will also be made by players and celebrities. Matthew Schaefer of the New York Islanders, Alexander Ovechkin and Logan Thompson of the Washington Capitals, Seth Jarvis of the Carolina Hurricanes, and more will join the program. BC legend Bryan Adams will also make an appearance, as will Kenan Thompson, Brooke Shields, Flavor Flav, and others.
The Stanley Pup will be broadcasted on June 8 at 5:00 pm PT on Sportsnet (Canada) and truTV and HBO Max (U.S.).
