Ryder played in all of Canada's seven games and finished with four goals and three assists, including a goal in the Gold Medal game.
Canada had to come from behind in the third period and won the game 6-4, thanks to 2026 NHL Draft-eligible Gavin McKenna's hat trick. In the third period, Canada got a five-minute major powerplay, where McKenna tied the game.
Ritchie is eligible for the upcoming 2024 NHL Draft. He played his junior hockey in the WHL with the Prince Albert Raiders. In 47 games, he scored 19 goals and 25 assists.
His father played one season with the Canucks. During the 2007-08 season, Byron had three goals and eight assists in 71 games.
