Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports - Golden Knights Kick Off Eastern Conference Road Trip Against Senators

The Vegas Golden Knights have lost four of their last five games but look to turn it around against the Ottawa Senators.

The Golden Knights are about to begin a five-game Eastern Conference road trip where they are in desperate need of points and will be without Mark Stone and Brett Howden who were recently placed on the injured reserve.

The Golden Knights sit in second place in the Pacific division but are just two points ahead of the Edmonton Oilers with three games in hand. The Los Angeles Kings are just four points behind the Golden Knights with two games in hand.

The Senators are having another underwhelming season but have the offensive talent to produce high-scoring games and with the injuries to the Golden Knights' forward group, this game isn't as straightforward as the team's records would suggest.

Head coach Bruce Cassidy wants to see a different Golden Knights team against the Senators.

"A harder-to-play-against mentality where we're going to check better and not allow as many second chances. Get above people and manage the puck better."

Adin Hill has had a couple of tough outings in the last week and was pulled against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He allowed three goals on 20 shots in the first period. Logan Thompson who came in relief of Hill will get the start against the Senators.

The first matchup between these two teams ended in a Golden Knights 6-3 win. Ivan Barbashev had a goal and an assist in the game and Thompson came in to relieve an injured Adin Hill.
