Jack Eichel and Nicolas Roy combine for four goals to earn first win of 2024.

Jack Eichel and Nicolas Roy each scored a pair of goals in the Vegas Golden Knights 5-2 victory against the New York Islanders at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday.
Pavel Dorofeyev also scored, while Keegan Kolesar had two assists. Logan Thompson played well, making 28 saves.
“The first three goals were all a mindset we had going into the game that we practiced yesterday about putting pucks behind and playing below the goal line,” Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said. “Everyone one of our goals, we were forcing a breakout and execute well and we got pucks back. … We stuck to our gameplan.”
Lukas Cormier also had an assist in his season debut.
The Golden Knights return to the ice on Wednesday for a game against the Colorado Avalanche in Denver. They returned home for a game against the Boston Bruins on Thursday.
