The Vegas Golden Knights jumped to an early three-goal lead as part of a 6-3 victory against the Vancouver Canucks at T-Mobile Arena on Tuesday.

Jonathan Marchessault scored a goal and had two assists; Jack Eichel and Anthony Mantha tallied a goal and an assist, while Logan Thompson made 27 saves to improve Vegas to 42-25-8.

Noah Hanifin, William Karlsson and Brett Howden also scored goals for Vegas.

The Golden Knights have picked up a point in each of their last six games.

“I loved the way we played. I loved the way we started and battled the whole night,” Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said. “Full value, I felt. I’m going to watch it again tomorrow, and it’ll probably back that up. I’ll see a lot of good stuff.”

Mantha got things rolling the first, scoring the first goal at 1:37 of the first period. Then Marchessault added a second to make it 2-0.

The Canucks cut the lead to 2-1, but 20 seconds later Eichel reclaimed the two-goal advantage.

Hanifin added a power-play goal to cap off the four-goal period.

After Vancouver was called for a major penalty, Karlsson tallied a power-play goal of his own, pushing it to 5-1.

Quinn Hughes scored the next two goals, but Howden scored 24 seconds later on the second for the 6-3 final.
