Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports - Golden Knights Snap Three-Game Losing Streak; Beat Maple Leafs 6-2

The Vegas Golden Knights offence came alive and ended the Toronto Maple Leafs seven-game win streak.

Adin Hill made 30 saves, Jonathan Marchessault scored a pair, William Karlsson had two points and Shea Theodore added three assists in a much-needed win for the Golden Knights.

The Golden Knights played a hard-nosed game from the second the puck dropped and made life extremely difficult for the Maple Leafs offence. The Golden Knights blocked 22 shots and only took one penalty.

No scoring in the first period but the first big chance of the game came off the stick of Keegan Kolesar. A cross-ice feed that Ilya Samsonov was able to stop.

The score at the end of the first was 0-0. The Golden Knights and Maple Leafs were even in shots at 9-9 in the opening frame.

After a big save by Hill, Ivan Barbashev was sent in on a breakaway by Michael Amadio and beat Samsonov for the first goal of the game.

Mason Morelli deflected a point shot by Theodore to extend the lead to 2-0. Theodore picked up an assist on both Golden Knight goals.

Tyler Bertuzzi beat Hill from a sharp angle to cut the Golden Knights lead in half. That was Bertuzzi's fourth goal in the last two games after he recorded a hat trick against the Colorado Avalanche.

Marchessault forced a turnover and then set up Karlsson for a one-timer in the slot to make it 3-1. That was Karlsson's 20th goal of the season. It's the third time he's reached the 20-goal mark in his career.

Marchessault jumped on a rebound and potted his 31st goal of the season extending the Golden Knights lead to 4-2.  Marchessault set a new career high with the goal.

Ryan Reaves received a pass from Pontus Holmberg and finished off a 2-on-1 to make it 4-2.

Marchessault added an empty netter to seal the game for the Golden Knights. Nicholas Roy added a sixth with 30 seconds remaining.
