Vegas Golden Knights forward Sheldon Rempal is reportedly signing with HC Salavat Yulaev Ufa of the KHL.

Rempal is 28 years old and has struggled to maintain a roster spot in the NHL throughout his career. He's played NHL games with the Los Angeles Kings, Carolina Hurricanes, Vancouver Canucks and most recently the Golden Knights. During his career, he's played 21 games scoring two goals and three points.

The Canadian is second on the Henderson Silver Knights in points and first in goals scoring 26 goals and 43 points this season.

Rempal made his NHL debut back in the 2018-19 season and scored his first career NHL goal this season.

Salavat finished second in their division this season and fifth overall. Former NHLers Josh Leivo, Alexander Chmelevski, Nikolay Kulemin and Nicolas Meloche highlight some of the former NHL players who play for Salavat.

Rempal has had to work hard to get to the NHL. He went undrafted, played in the BCHL before playing for Clarkson University in the NCAA and has played over 300 games in the AHL. Rempal has now decided to go overseas and play consistent minutes in a pro league.

Rempal signed a two-year, $762,500 AAV contract with the Golden Knights back on June. 13 2022. He's set to become a UFA at the end of the season.
