The American is a projected first-round pick in the 2027 NHL draft.

It's been a long pursuit by the Saint John Sea Dogs to pursue top American prospect Jamie Glance, but they've finally landed their big fish.

Glance, 17, is a top prospect for the 2027 NHL draft who has spent the past two years with the U.S. National Team Development Program after growing up at Mount St. Charles Academy.

The Stratham, MA, native led the NTDP in scoring last season, putting up 56 (23+33) points in 62 games. He also added five points in five games with the U.S. at the U18 worlds in May.

Saint John drafted Glance in the sixth round of the 2024 QMJHL draft, and had to wait until now for him to play on their team.

The 5-foot-11 forward joins at a good time, as the Sea Dogs look to be competitive atop the Eastern conference this season, led by superstar Alexis Joseph.

Glance gives them a great second forward to pair with Joseph, and with trade additions like Samuel Meloche, Olivier Lemieux and Thomas Charbonneau, Saint John looks like a team to look out for heading into next season.

It seems like it'll just be one season for Glance in the QMJHL, as he's committed to join NCAA Boston University for 2027-28, but all parties will hope it'll be a productive season in Major Junior ahead of his draft year.
