The 2026-27 CHL Top-10 Week 2 Rankings feature plenty of WHL content.
Every week, the CHL releases a list of the top-10 teams in the league. Throughout the season, we at The Hockey News will be keeping track of which WHL teams are in the rankings, as well as who finishes the year ranked highest. Here is a look at the three WHL teams that made the 2026-27 Week 2 rankings.
No. 1 – Victoria Royals
The Victoria Royals have officially surged to the top of the nation, claiming the CHL's No. 1 ranking following a dominant start to the regular season, picking up two wins and outscoring opponents 8-3. St. Louis Blues prospect Vladimir Proskurin stopped 25 of 26 shots (.962 save percentage) in his CHL debut.
No. 6 – Medicine Hat Tigers
Holding firm at No. 6 in the national rankings, the Medicine Hat Tigers continue to showcase one of the most lethal offensive forward groups in major junior hockey. Medicine Hat welcomed back Liam and Markus Ruck, and Yaroslav Bryzgalov from NHL camps, and all three contributed over the weekend.
No. 10 – Calgary Hitmen
Cracking the national rankings for the first time this season, the Calgary Hitmen leap into the No. 10 spot after knocking division rival Brandon out of the Top 10. Calgary has opened the season 3-0. After two wins in extra time on opening weekend, the Hitmen beat the Edmonton Oil Kings 6-1 behind Eric Tu’s 25 saves.
